Heightened Defense Preparedness Against Anomalous Threats Instituted

Civil defence readiness is an important first line of protection against all threats, natural and preternatural. To be forewarned is to be forearmed (not four-armed). Residents are advised to report four-armed and other preternatural sightings to their local anomaly eradication station.

​ATLAS stands for Anomaly Terror Level Advisory System. Now in its thirty-third year, it is Isermno's color-coded early warning alert apparatus, instituted in the wake of 1989's so-called "Terror from the Sea." While there is no consensus as to whether this ostensibly preternatural incident actually happened, its occurrence (or non-occurrence) prompted the government to found the programme.

Each of ATLAS's five color levels indicates a progressively imminent degree of danger. From lowest to highest, they are: green, blue, yellow, orange, and red.​

As of this reporting, ATLAS has been elevated from green to blue.

A summary of each of the color advisory levels is given below.

Green / Low: They sleep, for now...

• Surveillance efforts continue at standard readiness.
• Misinformation specialists monitor as the situation develops.

Blue / Guarded: They stir...

• National defence forces placed on alert.
• Rapid response anomalous wildlife eradication squads mobilized.
• Preternatural suppression specialists deployable within three hours.

Yellow / Elevated: They're coming...

• Enhanced surveillance protocols instituted.
• Unmanned aerial hunter strike drones deployable in one hour.
  
• Exorcists and resident clergy initiate round-the-clock prayer services.

Orange / High: They're here!

• Military, police, and civil defence on high alert.
• Napalm-equipped jet bombers deployable within four hours.
• Twenty-four hour direct hotline to the Vatican established.

​Red / Severe: Run for your lives!

• Class 2-A extinction level event imminent.
• High-level executive staff evacuated to secure command facility.
• Self-destruct initiated for preternatural research black sites.
• Plausible deniability specialists intensify misinformation protocols.
